Frequently Asked Questions

• Why do you breed a Morab?  Why not purchase a Morgan or Arabian?
• Morabs excel at blending both breeds.  They inherit the gaits and the lungs of the Arabian with the calm, loving nature and the stamina of the Morgan.
• I want an event horse, but I do not want it too hot.  Is a Morab the answer?
• Could be.  They can put on a class act in the ring, but become the family pet when the tack is removed.  They listen well and have a quick learning curve.
• Why is there more than one Morab Registry?
• Good Question.  Basically, it boils down to greed, blame, uncivil behavior, self-centered behavior, and the need to focus on personal agendas.  It is important to remember that PMHA is the parent organization and the other two are children offsprings  We are here to serve and welcome any people who want to return.  Small organizations when they start are subject to this type of division and later mature out.
• Will there be promotional items available to people soon?
• Yes, we hope to have this available soon.
• What about the Competitive Riding and Endurance Riding Events?  Will we see more of this in the coming year?
• Yes.  We have a committee working on this project right now and hope to bring our members opportunites to have regional and national rides for Morabs.
• What about the NAMHA horses?  Did you abandon them?
• Hardly!  The NAMHA Register is alive and well.  Only the Association was changed to become PMHA.  All the programs were retained in addition to the NAMHA assets.  We have honored their commitment as they have honored ours.  In fact, you will see a web site developed in their behalf.
• Is the NAMHA Register a "Half Morab" Registry?
• No.  We are committed to purebred breeding.  We do not register horses from the public domain with pedgress unknown or outside Morgan/Arabian genetics and encourage them to breed.  It simply gives NAMHA people a chance to manage and enjoy their horses as long as they like with the benefits they understood at the time of registration.
